What are dental implants?

A Dental Implant is basically an artificial tooth. They are designed to permanently replace missing teeth and will restore full function and appearance with a very natural looking tooth. A dental implant is created from a strong biocompatible material. In a very simple procedure we bury the implant in bone and leave it for a period of time to bond. After this time we will uncover the implant and connect it to a small metal post that secures the artificial tooth. Given the implant bonds to the bone you can expect the implant to be every bit as strong as a natural tooth. If you wish to learn more about Dental Implants, please feel free to attend one of our complimentary Dental Implant information evenings spread throughout the year. What is teeth whitening?

Teeth whitening is one of the easiest ways to take years off your appearance! Often as we age and indulge in all the fun things in life (coffee, red wine, tea etc.) our teeth discolour and start to look yellow. Teeth whitening is the process of removing stains and discolouration from teeth to produce whiter, more natural looking teeth. We use the Zoom Whitening system – a proven and very effective in chair system. We also offer at home whitening.

Implants sound tricky. How long does it take?

We can give you a clearer timeframe dependent on your circumstances. The type of bone and where the implant is to be placed in your jaw will impact this timeframe. Generally it can range from a few months to over 9 months.
