Dr Luke Newman
Born in South Africa and raised in South Brisbane, Dr Luke Newman joined the team at Channon Lawrence Dental in 2020 with the view of settling down in Gympie with his young family.
Luke is a caring dentist that enjoys sitting down with his patients and helping them take their oral health from where they are, to where they want to be. Dr Emma Parsons
Dr Emma Parsons originally studied a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science before going on to further her studies, completing a Master of Dentistry in 2021. While studying, Dr Emma immersed herself within the dental industry in both the student clinic as a dental assistant and clinical coordinator in various private practices on the sunny Gold Coast.
Since the young age of 5, Dr Emma has dreamt of becoming a dentist. This desire was only enhanced after facing her own dental trauma at 10 years old. During this time, she experienced firsthand how general dentistry can improve confidence and quality of life which inspired her to peruse her dream.
Although Dr Emma is fascinated in all aspects of general dentistry, she is particularly interested in root canal procedures as they give her the opportunity to not only save teeth, but to help get her patients out of pain.
Dr Emma understands that no two patients are the same and therefore, takes a personalised approach to her work ensuring treatment plans fit in well with her patients’ lives and circumstances. Dr Emma loves developing relationships with all her patients and feels very fortunate to work within a profession that enables her to directly help people by getting them out of pain and making them feel more confident with their smile.
Outside of the Dr Emma enjoys spending time with her family. She loves read books, swimming and playing "catch me if you can" with her 3-year-old daughter. When the climate permits, Dr Emma is a keen traveller, and you’ll find her hitting the slopes!
